Crossing the Block: Selections from the Pueblo Collection

By Greg Cohen, Numismatist and Consignment Director

Stack’s Bowers is proud to be able to offer a small, yet powerful selection of gold coins from the Pueblo Collection in our August 2012 official auction of the ANA World’s Fair of Money in Philadelphia. The consignor focused on coins from the S.S. Central America Treasure and rare double eagles, with an eye for quality. All but one of the eight coins in this collection will be offered in our August 9th Rarities Night session.

·         1846/’5’-O $10. AU-55 (NGC)
·         1853/’2’ $20 MS-61 (PCGS) CAC
·         1854 $20. Large Date. AU-58 (PCGS) CAC Ex: S.S. Central America

This small, but important grouping of coins fits nicely into the overall selection of U.S. gold coins, which will feature many great rarities and collector coins of all denominations. If you are a serious collector of U.S. gold coins, do not miss our official auction of the American Numismatic Association’s World’s Fair of Money, August 4-10.
